Tanya offers private and group HATHA (breath-oriented), YIN (extended “stretch”) and Yoga Shred™-Inspired (yoga and HIIT fusion) yoga asana classes with:

  • an emphasis on alignment;
  • a balance of core strengthening; and
  • focus on the fascia, ligaments and joints

Weekly yoga classes are held at Core Strength Pilates Studio in George on Wednesdays 17:30 – 18:30.

Tanya is a practising yogini since 2000, and received her Yoga TTC200 Certification with Distinction in Raja Yoga in 2008.

In 2014, Tanya received her Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT®) Certification. Click here to view her Yoga Alliance profile. In 2017, she completed Sadie Nardini’s Yoga Shred™ Teacher Training course and is Yoga Shred™-Trained.

Tanya brings her experience as an athlete, as well as working with clients with various conditions and injuries, to cater for all body types. She has developed a Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Course as well as programmes for children. Tanya has practised a wide range of yoga styles including, Astanga, Baptiste, Bikram, Hatha, Iyengar, Forrest, Jivamukti, Kundalini, Power, Sivananda, Tibetan, Yin Yoga and Yoga Shred™.

Daily meditation since 2006 has been key to Tanya’s life. She has attended numerous meditation retreats and has practised Zen meditation, Vipassana meditation, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s IAM® Technique, as well as other forms.

Tanya holds a BA (Hons) Psych. Degree, BWRT® Certification, Diplomas in Nutrition, and is a Reiki Master; bringing together these modalities for a holistic understanding of the body and mind.
